Bonnie Cutts' paintings represent various periods of her creative journey, her life's journey. Her paintings, loaded with rich vibrant colors and tactile surfaces are an invitation for the viewer to take a deep look into the surface and see the multitude of layers, just like in one's life. Bonnie makes references to the natural world around her, drawing and painting trees, floral images and other natural objects onto her textural surfaces.

The process of painting is as important to Bonnie as the finished artwork. She finds a real sense of discovery within what she does and is always interested in the next place or thing to see, the next move to make, the next image to paint.

Bonnie studied at the University of Minnesota where she received her BFA with a concentration in drawing and painting. She has shown her work professionally in both solo and group exhibits over the past 30 years.
